ALBANY, GA --
Leaving on a jet plane from Albany will be a new experience in the near future!

City leaders and even U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss broke ground on what will be the new commercial passenger terminal at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport.

Director Yvette Aehle says it will definitely make an impact on those flying into the Good Life City.

“We're the first impression that people see when they come to Albany and I’m thrilled this new design and this new terminal will show us as a more progressive, modern community that loves its airport and we're thrilled about that,” says Aehle.

The $10.8 million project will employ around 400 people.

The facility will be ready next June.
