ALBANY, GA --
A Putney man is arrested after he hits a teenager in the head with a gun.
According to Dougherty County Police shift reports, Larry Boyd got into a fight with a 16-year-old who used to live with him.
Boyd retrieved his Remington 700 .30 caliber hunting rifle and used the butt of the gun to hit the victim in the head, causing visible bruising.
The two fought over control of the gun and that's when police arrived.
Boyd was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and then to the Dougherty County Jail, charged with aggravated assault.
