ALBANY, GA. --
During Monday's meeting, Dougherty County School System officials got word that some of the evidence from the CRCT investigation is now at the Dougherty County District Attorney's office and the remaining files are expected to arrive there by the end of this week.

Also in the meeting, officials made it clear that board members are not to micromanage other positions.

School board chair James Bush says a member on the school board has been attending staff meetings, which is not acceptable.

Bush sought to create a formal rule banning such behaviors.

The board also addressed a special called meeting to for next year's budget.

“We don't have to agree on the budget until the 30th of June but what we're trying to do, because it is going to be a difficult budget, is open discussion early,” said DCSS Director of Finances and Business Operations Robert Lloyd.

Lloyd says the plan is to have a back up strategy in place in case the system doesn't receive requested funds.

The special called meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the administration building.
