Albany police say a man was robbed at gunpoint at 2200 West Gordon Avenue early Sunday morning

ALBANY, GA --
Albany police are looking for a suspect in an overnight armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of a West Gordon Avenue business.

Officers say Cedric Dean, 27, reported he went to pick up a friend at the intersection of Gordon and University Street when he was approached by a black male. They say they suspect walked up to Dean’s vehicle and pointed a gun at him, demanding money.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Police say the suspect was wearing a dark hoodie, dark shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100 or Albany Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
