ALBANY, GEORGIA -- High school entrepreneurs from fourteen counties took part in the 2012 Youth Summit at Albany Technical College.

This event has been defunct for some years but this year it has returned sponsored by the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission.

Students got a chance engage, interact, and listen to professionals in numerous fields with the purpose to inspire them to get organized and educated on making the next big step to success with business goals.

“The thing that we really want to get out of this are those students that want to start businesses, they have the tools they need to start a business and also for those that already have business what ways they will be able to expand their business better market their businesses, so it’s all about them,” Kerrie Davis Planner, Southwest Georgia Regional Commission.

Checks were given out to two luck participants with best elevator pitch and business plan.
