A number of areas in the Southwest Georgia viewing area reported power outages; viewers sent FOX 31 their pictures

ALBANY, GA -- A number of counties reported power outages Friday afternoon as severe weather struck the viewing area.

The city of Lenox reported power outages around Strickland Road. The city of Nashville in Berrien County reported power being out around the courthouse and surrounding businesses.

Camilla in Mitchell County reported downed trees and telephone lines. Emergency officials also say there was furniture blown against a fence near cotton.

Tift County reported a tree down near the county line.

Dougherty County emergency officials reported 32 mile per hour wind gusts.
