ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook story of the day you wanted to know what the requirements are to be admitted into local colleges.

Albany State University requires a minimum high school GPA of 2.22. When it comes to SAT’s they’re looking for a Critical Reading score of a 430 and Math score of 400.

At Albany Technical College students are required to take an entrance exam. In some circumstances it can be waived if you have completed a college or technical school credit. It can also be waived if a student enters with a diploma from a previous program.

“If you’re coming straight out of high school you have to have a minimum G.P.A. of a 2.0.we don’t require the SAT or ACT but we tell students to take the ACT or SAT,” Anthony Davis, Darton College.

If students are involved in extracurricular activates it can help their chances for enrollment if there they are on the border line with requirements.
