Dougherty County has a new spelling bee champion.

Danijah Snipes

Dougherty County has a new spelling bee champion.

Danijah Snipes is a 5^th grade student at Sherwood Acres Elementary Magnet School.

Snipes participated in the county-wide spelling bee on Friday and won! She beat out all participating elementary and middle school students who in the county who were the best spellers at their respective schools!

When snipes returned to her school, she was greeted by cheering students and got the chance to show everyone her trophy.
