TIFTON, GA. -- It’s February which means students in college, grade school and even pre-kindergarten are learning about black history month.

At Miss Daisy’s Darlings Development Center in Tifton, pre-k students are learning fun facts every day about black history month.  They're learning through songs, dancing, arts and crafts, and story time.  Pre-K Instructor Gail Hightower says every day of the month the teachers have selected one person to focus on and a fun way to learn about them.  “We here at Miss Daisy’s Darlings Development Center are teaching our children this month about black history month because we feel that the dream by Dr. Martin Luther King can be fulfilled by our young people” says Hightower.

Fox 31’s Romney Smith was a guest speaker during Tuesday’s black history lesson.
