ALBANY, GA -- Albany firefighters responded to a vacant house fire they say was intentionally set.

They got the call around 10:30 Monday morning.

It happened at 704 Cherry Avenue.

Unlike most vacant house fires during the winter months, they believe this fire was set to burn down the house, not to provide warmth.

Three fires were set in different places inside the home.

Two burned out by the time crews got there and there wasn't much to the third fire.

Someone driving by the house saw smoke and called the fire department.
