ALBANY, GA -- The Marine Corps Logistics Base celebrated Martin Luther King Day on Tuesday.
The guest speaker for the annual event this year was Ms. Joneal Freeman.
The theme of today's celebration was "Celebrate, Service and Act."
The organizer says"the theme means today is to remember the accomplishmensts martin luther king jr. The celbration means celbrate the achievements and sacrifies that he made and the act part tells us that we too have a part to play."
The national hoilday for Martin Luther King will be observed this coming Monday January 16th.
