TIFTON, GA --
The Tifton branch of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Tift County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for David Charles Summers, 26, in connection to the shooting death of David Barnes, 31.

Jim Pro with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation says, “Anyone who comes in contact with Summers should take extreme caution and contact police because he may be armed.”

Police are asking that he turn himself in to authorities.

David Barnes was shot and left for dead at the corner of Shiloh Street and Washington Street Saturday afternoon.

Tifton Police responded to the call around 5:00 p.m.

Authorities say the victim and David Summers knew each other from the neighborhood.
