ALBANY, GA -- Albany police have arrested a man for aggravated assault and cruelty to children.

The man is 50-year-old Kenneth Ball.

Albany police responded to 2220 South Madison a little after midnight Friday night in reference to a physical dispute.

The victim, 44-year-old Barbara Acree and Ball got into a fight, after which Ball pulled a knife and tried to cut the victims.

Victims include Barbara Acree, 7-year-old Frankie Smith, 27-year-old Calvin Acree, and 27-year-old Michael Hudley.

Ball has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault, criminal trespass and cruelty to children in the third degree.
