A special prosecutor has been named to handle the ALBANY, GA -- document falsification case against Velvet Riggins of the Dougherty County School Board.

Dougherty County Disctrict Attorney Greg Edwards has confirmed that South Georgia Circuit District Attorney Joe Mulholland will now be in charge of the case against Riggins. Riggins was arrested in early December for allegedly falsifying documents on her child's 2011-2012 school lunch application.
