ALBANY, GA. -- Facebook fans wanted to know which local charities are giving out food to people in need on Christmas day.

The Albany Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army will continue providing food to those seeking assistance in completing their Christmas meal.

Due to the economic setting within this area, many organizations say they're willing to help anyone who asks.

Since demand is high, they are recommending that people arrived early to guarantee a meal.

“We’re an all volunteer agency and we've discovered that we can only handle about 30 or 40 clients on a given morning. So we try to limit that so that we can process everybody within a reasonable period of time,” said C.B. Fincher, a volunteer for The Lord’s Pantry.

The Lord’s Pantry will not be open on Christmas day. They will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
