ALBANY, GA. -- As the temperature drops outside don't forget about those who are less fortunate.

Albany’s Recreation and Parks Department is holding a donation drive to benefit 'A Place 4 Hope.'

The facility serves as a resource center for the homeless.

Organizers for the drive are asking for blankets and personal items.

Roni Ware, one of the coordinators, says after volunteering with the homeless coalition she and her partner, Kozman Barnum, noticed a need.

“They have the washing units and the showers and they found that some people that came in only had one set of clothes. That’s why we're asking for the scrubs and that type of stuff,” said Roni Ware.

Albany’s Department of Family and Children Services is also contributing to the project.

Anyone interested in donating can contact Roni Ware at (229) 430-5222.
