ALBANY, GA -- One local family says if it wasn’t for the Albany Advocacy Resource Center, they wouldn’t have a turkey on their table for Thanksgiving.

Albany ARC delivered turkeys and other Thanksgiving dressings to those with disabilities on Monday. Workers with the organization say more than 100 families received a holiday meal this year.

Albany ARC’s been doing this for ten years and says it wouldn’t be possible without the community’s help.

"Here with arc we would like to thank everybody in the community because we have so many different people as far as Second Harvest which plays a very good part in this and we really enjoy and appreciate everything they do for us," says Cynthia Young with Albany ARC.

Albany ARC’s goal is to promote the general welfare of people with disabilities and foster the development of programs for them.
