ALBANY, GA -- The Flint Riverquarium is trying to raise some money as they head into next year.

The chief financial officer spoke to the Dougherty County Rotary Club Tuesday.

He says a large portion of operations comes from private donations they would like to raise a couple hundred-thousand.

“Times are tougher now, we now that. Some people say my timing couldn't be worse, but then again it's the time we have and we're going to make the most it,” said CFO Sanders Lewallen.

But officials are confident in their fundraising effort. They haven't solicited funds in about four years and they say they were able to raise about four million dollars then.
