ALBANY, GA -- Staff at Darton College couldn't think of any better day to invite people out to their new Military Resource Center office then on Veterans Day.

Administrators held an open house. The school has just started the resource center this year -- but this week they moved to their permanent home.

“As the G.I. Bill had continued to evolve and our veterans are serving out country, we want to make sure that we are serving them as well. So Darton College has made a commitment to have this center and to make sure their needs are being met,” said Valerie McCarley.

There are about 200 Darton College students currently serving in the military. The center services like employment opportunities, scholarships and other academic assistance.
