ALBANY, GA. -- Friday night southwest Georgia will receive the first freeze of the season.
Before bundling up under the covers, don't forget to take time to cover your outdoor vegetation.
Gardeners say tender plants should be covered or brought inside to reduce potential damage.
“Anything that may be a blooming plant that is susceptible to cold weather, put it in the garage or put it inside just to protect it and keep it from looking ugly,” said ABC Plant Nursery Owner Greg Daniel.
Daniel says if plants are left unprotected, they are susceptible to die.
