ALBANY, GA -- The elections office is gearing up for Election Day.

They saw about 1,900 early voters over the last three weeks and hope more come out to vote Tuesday.

Monday, workers delivered the voting machines to all 28 precincts in the area.

Something else they are urging--for people to sign up to be poll workers for the next election in March!

“We would like for them to call our office and we will mail them an application. We want to have as many on file for next year in preparation that we make sure that we have enough workers to help voters in Dougherty County,” says Elections Director Ginger Nickerson.

Nickerson says you could make as much as $250 for helping out.

The polls open Tuesday at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
