ALBANY, GA. -- Civil Rights leader Ralph David Abernathy III, the eldest son of Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Ralph David Abernathy, made an appearance in Albany to lend support and endorse one of Albany’s mayoral candidates.

Abernathy says he's not only a friend of John White but he's a colleague who's watched him continue in the Civil Rights Movement.

The leader is backing White because, in addition to his track record, he says he's a good man, capable of moving the city forward.

“John White’s experience is impeccable far beyond any other candidate running in this election. He served in the Georgia General Assembly for 22 years which gives him a reach around the state which is critically important for the city of Albany,” said Civil Rights Activist and Pastor Ralph Abernathy III.

Ralph David Abernathy III is now a businessman and preacher out of Atlanta, Georgia.
