ALBANY, GA -- An Albany Technical College student got the keys to a new car today.

Well, it's new to her; the 1991 Nissan Maxima was actually donated to the school and then built back up by automotive technology students.

Albany Tech decided raffle off the car to their students and Maggie Griffin won.

“When I got the call I was just so happy, I ran all around the kitchen and I danced around for a while. I was just ecstatic. He gave me a chance to calm down and talk to me and when I heard his voice I kind of knew what he was calling to tell me,” said Griffin.

Griffin says she plans to share the car with her son, who doesn't have a vehicle.

The school sold more than 700 raffle tickets. The proceeds are going to the Albany Tech Foundation.
