ALBANY, GA -- The Trick or Treat date in Albany was another one of our Facebook Story of the Day choices. It didn't win, but people were still buzzing online, wanting to know if the city plans on changing the date.

So we went to find out.

Last year city officials set up the trick-or-treat date a day before Halloween, but this year don't plan on making any changes.

“You'll just have your typical trick or treating on Monday night. I certainly expect them at my house, I look forward to it, but otherwise it's just a normal day,” said Assistant City Manager Wes Smith.

Last year Halloween fell on a Sunday. Officials said they changed it last year because they didn't want kids out too late on a school night and didn't want trick or treating to interfere with church activities.
