ALBANY, GA -- Supervillians, superheroes and...firemen?

It's not a comic strip; it's the 17th annual Kids Fire Safety Day, planned for Wednesday morning.

Firemen will transform into the Fire Prevention Justice League and fight villains, whose goal in life is to start fires.

Firemen think the program will get the message across.

“It's got a lot of interaction with different things that kids generally do or see and the superheroes come in and they show what to do and what not to do in certain situations. So, they'll get a good message from it,” says Albany Fire Dept. AOE Eric Graham.

The event is at the civic center  Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
