ALBANY, GA. -- The vacant Hooter’s building on Old Dawson Road is being renamed and reopened.
Austin’s Barbeque is set to close their doors on Meredyth Drive and move into the facility under the name "Austin’s Firegrill and Oyster Bar".
The owner of the business says with the move, the restaurant will offer new menu items and longer hours of operation.
He believes the most important impact from the venture is the creation of new jobs.
“We'll double our staff and number of employees. With the economy doing what it is doing, we will be able to better lives with employment. It's the number one thing that I’m excited about,” said Restaurant Owner Austin Newman.
Job applications are being accepted from anyone interested in being hired by the company.
The new location is set to open on October 20th.
