The Albany Police Department needs help identifying a second suspect involved in a Theft by Taking (Felony) case

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Police Department needs the public’s help locating a Theft by Taking (Felony) suspect.

On Aug. 10, officers responded to Homerun Foods at 2619 Gillionville Road in reference to a stolen bike.

Lester Eakes reported that his 15-year-old son’s dark blue and black Gary Fisher Mountain Bike had been stolen after his son parked it outside the front entrance of the store. Surveillance video obtained from the business shows two black males walking into the store behind his son. After a brief time inside, the two males left the store and one male rode off with the bike.

Detectives identified one of the men in the video and they are now seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the second one. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the second person in the surveillance video should call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or the Criminal Investigations Bureau at (229) 431-3288.
