ALBANY, GA -- Investigators are looking for whoever murdered a Colquitt County man.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials say 29-year-old Billy Hewitt was shot in his own yard on 29th avenue just after midnight.

He took a single gunshot wound to his torso. Hewitt stumbled over to a neighbor's house and called for ambulance. He later died at the hospital.

The GBI and Colquitt County Sheriff's Department are working the case. They say they are interviewing some people but do not have any official suspects.
