You wanted to know if you're more likely to see a snake. The folks at Chehaw say not really.
“All animals have what is called a home range, and that home range size depends upon the individual species of animal. Snakes have a very very small home range, so they are not going to move unless they are forced out of an area, such as a flood or a fire moves them out of an area,” said Natural Resources Manger Ben Kirkland.
However, Kirkland says the recent drops in temperature during the mornings and nights means snakes are more active and out during the day time.
