Several folks are suffering, trying to find some way to make ends meet--especially if you've recently lost your job.
And if you find yourself in court, there are cases where a judge may be sympathetic, but not always.
“A lot of it depends on the person's history, if they have a history of failing to pay their child support and forcing the judge to issue warrants for their arrest, then the judge is going to be less sympathetic, naturally,” says Captain Craig Dodd with the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office.
If the person has a good history, there are amendments that can be made to the child support orders.
