New sports bar Booters is preparing to take over the Downtown General Store space

ALBANY, GA -- In the shadow of two Albany bars closing, a new sports bar is coming to light in Downtown Albany.
"Booters" will be taking over the Downtown General Store location on N. Washington Street. The owner says they expect to have it opened by Oct. 1, after they go before the city council about their alcohol license.
The sports bar will feature five big TVs to accommodate sports aficionados. The owner says she wants to highlight local products, such as desserts made with Mars products and Miller Coors beers.
