ALBANY, GA -- City commissioners were updated Tuesday on the progress of the outdoor farmer's market held downtown.

David Milliner with the East Baker Historical Society spoke to commissioners Tuesday.

Milliner says they average nine vendors each Saturday and each vendor sees at least 57 customers.

“God has really been blessing that area. We just have about nine different counties that's been represented with foot traffic from all over southwest Georgia. The farmers are really happy getting their product out there and it's really creating a healthy environment,” says Milliner.

The farmer's market will continue every Saturday under the parking deck on Jackson Street until November 12th.
