FAA gives $3.24 million dollars to the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport

ALBANY, GA --  Commission has given the airport millions in funding.

The money designated for the construction of the new terminal is a combination of $1.1 million dollars in FAA funding and $2.04 million in discretionary spending funds.

The project will require Southwest Georgia to chip in as well.  The local portion of the funds will be supplied through a one cent sales tax approved last November in SPLOST VII.
