ALBANY, GA -- The city heard an update about the T-SPLOST Tuesday.

That's a one cent sales tax that may be added soon.

All the money will go toward transportation projects approved by a roundtable of mayors and county chairman from 14 South Georgia counties.

A list of projects has been whittled down and will be presented to the public in three public hearings.

“Then we have the Ledo Road widening, we have State Route 133, then we have Old Dawson Road widening which goes from basically Point North Boulevard out to Byron Plantation Road and then we have Clark Avenue widening which is from the bypass going east to Cordele Road,” says Director of Engineering Bruce Maples.

The first public hearing will be September 12 in room 100 of the Government Center at 222 Pine Avenue.
