Dangerous intersection causes two vehicle accident

ALBANY, GA -- A was reported this morning in the 2900 block of Sylvester Road.

Two cars collided after one tried crossing four lanes of traffic.

27-year-old Tomecia Street was driving a 2003 Ford Escape North on Pinson Road.

She was trying to get across Sylvester Road over to Pine Bluff when she hit a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 30-year-old Frederick Harvey.

Harvey was traveling east on Sylvester Road.

Harvey as well as other witnesses told Fox 31 News they have been pushing for a traffic light at the intersection.

Tomecia Street was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. 

Harvey was cited for a seat belt violation.
