ALBANY, GA -- And one more person has declared candidacy to be mayor of Albany.

Jesse Massey filed his paperwork this morning at the elections office. Massey is a retired teacher and coach at the Dougherty County School System.

He says his goal is to build community support.

“Everything is one-dimensional. Everybody has this thing about jobs creation and going out and stopping crime. You've got to get folks involved within the community, you've got to have sponsorships, you've got to have people to come in and recognize the problem and help us with it,” said Massey.

Massey is the fourth person to qualify for mayor. He’ll contend with Dorothy Hubbard, B.J. Fletcher and John White.
