ALBANY, GA. -- Girls Incorporated mentors and mentees got together to celebrate and that's FOX 31’s good news story of the day.
The 17th annual Committee of 100 event is a celebration dinner dedicated to women in the community who help out with the girls.
The mentors had the chance to speak to young women and learn how the program has had an impact on their lives.
The executive director of Girls Inc. says the program is about introducing the girls to possibilities that may come in the future.
“We're expecting the girls to get the exposure of dialoguing with women who have gone through the developmental stages of going from girlhood to womanhood and learn how to posture themselves for their success,” said LaKisha Bryant.
The dinner was held on the campus of the Albany Technical College.
