Updated with video; Shots were fired at an Albany Police Department officer squad car.

ALBANY, GA -- UPDATE:  Police have arrested a fourth suspect in Tuesday's shooting. 22-year-old Roger Farmer was arrested Tuesday night at the Regency Inn on E. Oglethorpe. He has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and gang participation.


UPDATE: Albany Police have arrested three men in connection with the shooting at a police officer.

22-year old Sean Frazier,  22-year-old Michael Stephens and 21-year-old Cortavis Davis have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and gang participation.

Police are still looking for five other suspects in the shooting; 20-year-old David Stephens, 32-year-old Rolando Frazier, 22-year-old Roger Farmer, and 20-year-old Steven Washington.

“It would appear that these men were intent on harming a police officer and we don't take that lightly,” said Albany Police Chief John Proctor.


Albany Police say that one of their squad cars was hit after shots were fired at an Albany Police officer.

The officer was responding to a home at around 5:30 AM in the 1200 block of East Residence in reference to a seperate call of shots being fired.

Police say that a group of young black males standing in the street fired shots at the car, breaking out a back window. The officer jumped out of the vehicle and took cover. The officer was not hit.

The Albany Gang Unit is assisting in the investigation. Police say the suspects were wearing white t-shirts or black and red t-shirts.
