ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is working to increase tourism in the Good Life City, and an article in The Kansas City Star could help their efforts.
“We're very excited for any exposure we get nationally or locally for Albany as a tourism destination. It's always wonderful news to know that other cities find us as an interesting city,” says Liz Gray with the Albany Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
The article entitled “Last chance for your summer vacation” features Albany as a vacation spot that’s “easy on the piggy bank.” It highlight’s the free activities in the city such as the Turtle Grove Play Park, Ray Charles Plaza, Legacy Park and the Thronateeska Heritage Center.
“We always think articles will help us. We host travel writers all throughout the year to help us bring more visitors to Albany and it's a very important way for us to get visitors here. It’s very vital to our community and we really appreciate everybody coming through our city,” says Gray.
