The Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority launches "ADICA Cares" campaign to bring attention to the organization and its redevelopment work

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority is hoping to give the community a new outlook on their board.

ADICA is launching their “ADICA Cares” campaign to help bring attention to the organization and the work they’re doing to revitalize downtown.

“Right now we're just trying to get the name out there, people familiar with exactly what ADICA is charged to do: They're a redevelopment agency and their job is to see that we redevelop downtown as the number one priority,” says Monique Broughton, Assistant to the Downtown Manager.

At Wednesday’s meeting, the board discussed installing way-finding kiosks with maps of downtown Albany and its attractions as a part of this campaign.

“We put out more trash cans throughout the downtown we've also put out some new bike racks, so now that you can rent the bikes at the welcome center you have somewhere you can lock them up as you travel downtown to go to different restaurants and shops,” says Broughton.

The board also discussed creating reusable grocery bags to give out to the public.
