ALBANY, GA -- Those Albany Technical College students who took summer off will be heading back on Aug. 22 but will face some changes at the college.

Albany Tech is switching from quarters to semesters starting in the fall semester. The college has a planning committee that’s addressed every possible situation that could impact students to allow for a smooth transition.

“We have informed them every way possible through newsletters, our website... just full of information for them to learn about everything they would want to know from financial aid to program structure to calendars. We're ready,” says Shirley Armstrong, Vice-President for Academic Affairs.

Students coming in for the fall semester also need to remember that the GED prices increased and HOPE grants require that students now acquire a 3.0 GPA.
