Updated with video; Authorities investigating "improper financial transactions"

ALBANY, GA -- City and County authorities, armed with search warrants, raided the J.L. Litman Funeral Home and its owner’s home Monday night.

Authorities were searching for any documents related to alleged “improper financial transactions,” when they searched the funeral home on E. Clark Ave, police said.

The District Attorney’s office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Secretary of State’s office are assisting with the probe.

The funeral home's owner, Johnny Litman, could not be reached for comment.
