The Dialysis Clinic, the city of Albany and the County Health Department, teamed up for Kidney Kamp

ALBANY, GA -- There was another health fair this weekend in Albany. Saturday’s focused specifically on kidney health.

The Dialysis Clinic, the city of Albany and the County Health Department, teamed up for Kidney Kamp.

They offered several free testing services to make sure people's kidneys were in good condition.

“Kidney disease is so prevalent in Southwest Georgia. You'd be surprised the amount of people that do not have basic primary care. Don't have access to a regular physician to check things like blood pressure, hypertension and also blood glucose for diabetes and those are the two major causes of Kidney Disease,” said Brittany Stalvey of the Dialysis Clinic.

Chronic Kidney Disease is a silent killer. More than 26 million Americans, 1 in 9 adults, have kidney disease and millions of others are at increased risk of developing it.
