Aside from just not answering your phone, you can register it on the National Do Not Call Registry. You can register up to five phones, including cell phones, and the listing is good for life.
“There are three circumstances where you can get calls from businesses. One is charities, they do not have to abide by the do not call list if you sign up. They can still call you. Two is political campaigns, they can still make calls. And three is anybody that you have a business relationship with,” said Bill Edge of the Georgia Public Service Commission.
