ALBANY, GA -- Parole officers from around the state came to Albany for some training.

They were out at the Fire Training Center Wednesday, practicing serving a warrant.

Oftentimes, a person they are looking for may be hostile, so the parole officers have to be ready for any kind of situation.

“What we try to do is set up situations where they have to make a decision about what force would be appropriate in that situation. Some of those situations will be taser scenarios, some will not,” said Training Director Bert Flewellen.

Officers use guns with fake bullets that will make a mark on the officer so they can tell who's been hit.

They can also use a fake knife that is electrically charged.
