UGA Athletic coaches visit the Good Life City

ALBANY, GA. -- Dozens of Southwest Georgians came out for UGA Day to meet Georgia athletic coaches including head football coach Mark Richt.

The visit was part of a series of “UGA Day” events around the state.  Coaches took time to discuss athletic programs and academic programs.  Officials made sure to note that fundraising isn’t just about the athletic programs.  Donations also support academics, which can make the school more attractive to potential athletic recruits and enhance their experiences should they enroll at the University of Georgia.

Coaches also say they enjoy traveling and meeting supporters face to face.  “Everyone is always coming to Athens to support us, I think this is a great opportunity to visit everyone’s hometown and I really enjoy it” says Richt.
