ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County police responded to a flipped car at the 1800 block of Lily Pond Road and had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue the driver.

Police and EMS were dispatched at 7:21 p.m. on Tuesday. DCP says the 28-year-old driver was traveling East on Lily Pond Road when she overcorrected, traveled across the lanes and overturned on the curb which caused her to flip her Kia Elantra.

Police say she was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, but are not sure of her condition. They say she was conscious when they were pulling her out of the car.
