A license revocation hearing is discussed for the AppleJax Sports Bar and Lounge
ALBANY, GA -- City commissioners voted Tuesday to hold a hearing that would decide if AppleJax Sports Bar and Lounge should retain its alcohol license.
A person was killed there in 2006, and two people died as a result of being stabbed in the parking lot just last month.
City Attorney Nathan Davis says the licensee may not have been meeting the standards set forth in the alcohol code.
“And this kind of indicates that there wasn't a lot of security in the parking lot cause there had to be a lot of activity going on, wasn't just one person or two,” Said Davis.
Davis will set a date for the hearing at their April 19th meeting.
