Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts holds annual Music on the Lawn for National Music in Our Schools Month

ALBANY, GA -- As a part of National Music in Our Schools Month, the Lamar Reese Magnet School for the Arts held a music festival.

During the day students participated in performing arts activities for their “Spring Fling.” Students in one class performed “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas. Students from Albany High School and Radium Magnet Middle were guests in the classes.

The school held its annual “Music on the Lawn” in the afternoon, featuring numerous musical performances including a string quartet that performed Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”.

Parents were able to attend both "Spring Fling" and "Music on the Lawn" to share in the musical talents of their kids.

“Music on the Lawn” is also used as a kickoff to Spring Break for the kids.
