'Communities in Schools' offers alternative educational options

ALBANY, GA. -- A local organization is hoping the community will ‘reflect’ on keeping kids in school.

‘Communities in Schools’ held its ‘Reflections on Our Youth’ program at Café 230 this evening.

CIS seeks to reduce the high school dropout rate by offering alternative educational environments.

"The main thing for the success of a community is educated persons," said CIS Chairman Greg Edwards. "Educated persons within the community encourages development. Businesses will come. Our crime rate decreases."
